"Stay Cool", Your Friend....

We are all familiar with those end of school year notes people write in year books; and with the weather these past couple of weeks staying “cool” is something of a real task. That’s the easy, light-hearted stuff. Recently, the Dvorak Park community lost one of our youth to violence. This young man touched the lives of many of PAS’s students and he will be missed. The air is different in the neighborhood and we; the staff, artists and students here at Pros Arts Studio want to let everyone know that it’s going to be hot these next couple of months. The temperature in the air is not only going to rise but people’s temperatures will rise - respect is crucial to surviving these hot, humid days and if we can combine that with love for ourselves and each other we can hopefully make it through these next few months in one piece, whole and together.  The real task of staying “cool” is how we cope with the Summer months, how we find something to occupy our time and what we do to enjoy or Summer but also keep ourselves safe in the process.

On a side note – there will be a benefit to raise money for this young man organized by many of his friends. You can find all the information in the attached PDF. So click on the link to view the details.
